Describing yourself is never easy, but I can confidently say that my career has consistently revolved around supply chain management.

I am naturally curious, and when faced with challenges, my focus is always on finding solutions rather than dwelling on the problem itself. That doesn’t mean I ignore the problem, I fully acknowledge and understand it, but I have always been solution-driven. And for me, solutions should be long-lasting. I’m not interested in solving the same issue repeatedly just to say I’m good at problem-solving.

I am always looking for ways to improve, whether it’s making processes more efficient, faster, or easier. My approach to problem-solving is adaptable, unrestricted by rigid thinking, and tailored to the specific situation at hand.

For most of my career (about 90% of it), I have worked in the Outdoor Furniture industry. However, I’ve been fortunate to experience various facets of the supply chain, allowing me to see how one solution can inadvertently create another problem if the bigger picture isn’t considered. My expertise spans:

  • Master Planning
  • Production
  • Transport
  • Warehouse Management
  • Software Development
  • Sourcing
  • Quality Control

Beyond the Netherlands, I have also worked in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and China. This international exposure has made my work even more interesting, as I’ve learned that what works well in one country may not necessarily work in another. Cultural differences play a crucial role, and achieving the best possible outcome requires understanding and respecting these differences. It’s not that people are unwilling to adapt, sometimes, it’s simply not in their nature.

Ultimately, my goal, is and always has been, to create solutions that benefit all parties involved, ensuring that everyone is aligned in delivering the best possible outcome for the customer.
